Yep, that’s me with my little one, walking along the ashen beanches of #Fraser Island.
I wasn’t always in shape and full of energy; many years ago I was over #weight and suffered with chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia! So what changed? My diet, lifestyle and I did a #detox once a year.
So why not welcome in #2016 with your best foot forward and start a gentle cleanse to begin the new year light and fresh.
For 2 weeks on rising, have a half a fresh lemon squeezed into a small amount of room temperature water for liver boosting health. With your liver being our main detoxifying organ, giving it a clean out now and then is a great way to feel fresher and healthier, and even lose some weight that may have crept on during this festive season.
Adding a teaspoon of organic apple cider vinegar, still containing the mother, boosts the detox further, with reports that this can alkalize the blood and relieve pain, swelling, help your tummy and also assist with weight loss.
For this 2-week period eat as many varying fresh calorie free vegetables as you can, aiming for between 7-10 different types every day, particularly the dark green types and consuming a small amount of protein 2-3 times a day.
Have a savory breakfast, which contains protein, such as eggs, baked beans, miso soup or smoked salmon or fried tempeh with avocado on gluten free toast. Many people don’t realize a sweet breakfast, whether it’s cereal or fruit, sets you up to crave sweets for the rest of the day
The more you can avoid: sugar, artificial sweetener, red meat, alcohol, processed foods, biscuits, white bread, wheat, soft drink, dairy, cheese, cows milk, or any form of fast food for this period, the better you’ll look and feel, truly making you feel like starting 2016 with a bang!
