Breakfast is the most important meal of the day for a number of reasons; it ‘breaks the fast’ we have had overnight, signaling our metabolism to start burning fat and calories again. And breakfast also sets the tone of the entire day.
The healthier your breakie, the more likely you will have a day full of healthy choices. While skipping breakfast or choosing a high carb, unhealthy one, encourages us to crave and eat higher sugar foods to keep our energy up.
So here are few quick and easy smoothies, which are high protein, some carbs, rich in nutrients, vitamins and minerals and all natural, not just great for breakie but as snacks too.
Use your Vitamix or other blender to whip these all into a smooth consistency.
